Witnessing pain and sadness is an act of love.
People have asked me many times how I've survived so many battles. It's really a matter of being mindful of what's going on around you, transforming fear in to hyperawareness, listening to your instincts.
Sometimes I feel I was concentrating so hard a force field was created around me. So maybe that's it. But I have never felt protected by being behind a camera.
You carry everything with you. I think sometimes you might see too much, but you have to deal with it. It changes you. ... There are very few people you can relax around.
Sleeping and packing are my two major talents. Everything I take I use. And everything I need I take.
